Councillor for Kentwood
James was first elected to Reading Borough Council in May 2011. He was born in Brighton but grew up in Reading and attended Little Heath School and Henley College. His working life has been largely sales-based. He has worked with Mann Countrywide Estate Agents and Global Radio, owners of the HEART Radio Group. James is a passionate believer in Big Society and has been involved in local politics on various levels, most notably by running "The Gap" community youth club and volunteering with Lighthouse Kidz Church. Currently James manages a local football team and lives with his wife in Kentwood. He works in London for the Conservative Party. He is also a member of Licencing Applications Committee, Safer Reading Action Group Forum and Sports Development Forum.
