Alok Sharma welcomes investment to alleviate traffic in Reading West

Alok Sharma, the Member of Parliament for Reading West, today welcomed an announcement by Patrick McLoughlin, the Secretary of State for the Department for Transport, that the government would provide almost £3.5 million in funding to help alleviate congestion in Reading West constituency at two of the town’s most notorious pinch points.

Imraan Launches a Petition to Keep Battle Streets Clean of Litter

Conservative Candidate for Battle ward Imraan Ishtiaq has launched a petition to keep our roads and pavements clean from litter and waste. Imraan has been circulating the petition to nurseries and community centres since early March asking Battle ward residents to sign the petition to highlight the ongoing problem to Reading Borough Council, which has so far failed to keep Battle’s roads rubbish-free.
