Chairman of the Reading West Conservative Association

As well as being a Conservative Councillor for Birch Copse ward in West Berkshire, Emma was also a Member of the Royal Berkshire Fire Authority and a Member of Thames Valley Police and Crime Panel.

Alok Sharma

Parliamentary Candidate for Reading West

Alok is very much a local Reading man.

He grew up in Earley and Whitley Wood and went to school in Reading. He was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Reading West in 2010 and is now seeking re-election.

Tony Linden

Tony Linden, is currently a West Berkshire District Councillor for the Birch Copse Ward. Tony has lived in the neighbouring ward of Calcot for 34 years and works as a merchandiser for a variety of companies.

Helen Manghnani

Conservative Councillor for Tilehurst Ward

Helen was elected as a Councillor in TIlehurst in May 2018. Helen has lived in Tilehurst for over 25 years and is now retired after a lifetime of service in the public sector, including positions within the Prison Service, the Police Force and the Minsitry of Defence.

Peter Argyle

Councillor - Tilehurst South and Holybrook Ward

Peter has lived in West Berkshire since 1984.  He has two children and five grandchildren.  Prior to retiring in 2009, his life was committed to education as a teacher (including a ten year spell in Saudi Arabia) and latterly, organising education for young people not in mainstream education.

Sandra Vickers became a Councillor of Tilehurst ward in 2011, gaining the seat from Liberal Democrats with a majority of 200. Sandra has lived in Reading all her life and has raised four children and three grandchildren.

Raj has campaigned alongside Alok Sharma MP and Tom Steele in Kentwood for over 6 years and regularly volunteers within the local community for NHS and Alzheimer charities.

Emma previously served as your Conservative Councillor between 2008 and 2012. Now re-elected, Emma vows to provide a strong and effective challenge to Reading Labour on the council.

Tom Steele

Our Previous Conservative Councillor for Kentwood Ward

Tom has lived locally in Kentwood for 28 years and recently stepped down as a Councillor. Prior to Tom's departure, he served as a Kentwood Councillor between 2007 and 2011 and then again from 2015 to 2018.

Nick Fudge

Conservative Campaigner for Minster Ward

Nick previously stood as the Conservative Council Candidate for Minster in 2018. Nick has lived in Coley for over 30 years and runs his own local business, specialising in printing and graphic design. A keen campaigner, he has taken up local issues including parking problems in Coley and protecting Reading’s heritage and environment. Nick was re-appointed as the Conservative Candidate in August 2018.
